On November 1st, LULAC representatives met with Supervisor John Zaragoza – where we discussed resolving toxic and dangerous environment issues related to the Anterra Chemical Disposal Well in Oxnard.
The well is located at 1933 Wooley Rd between Rose Avenue and Rice Avenue in Oxnard, California. The youth leaders from our local youth council and others made an impressive presentation at the office of Supervisor Zaragoza. These youth spoke about the importance of protecting our agriculture industry, the food we eat, and protecting workers. They also advocated that there is a danger of fracking triggering an Earthquake.
